| There may be many reasons why you would want to send us your files. Instead of putting your photographs in an envelope and using postage, you may want to upload them to our server instead. In addition to saving postage, it also be the fastest way for files to be sent us. If you put your package in the mail, it could take days before the United States Post Office delivers your package. Even if you used an overnight service - such as FedEx - it would not reach us until the next day. If you used our FTP link below, the files would be on our server as soon as your uploading was completed.
How do you upload files you ask? We have a very simple way for you to do this. A simple drag-and-drop procedure is all you need. Simply drag your file(s) from your computer to our FTP window. [Dragging and dropping as described on this page works when using the Internet Explorer browser. Other browsers, such as Mozilla Firefox, may not work.] Clicking on the link at the bottom of this page will open up a browser window that shows a bunch of files that others have uploaded to us. All you'll need to do now is drag your file from your system onto this window ... and that's it! The uploading process will start automatically! The amount of time it takes to upload your files will depend on two factors: the file size (such as 5 megabytes) and the speed of your internet connection (such as a 56K modem). Note: after uploading your files, please email info@firstpp.net to notify us that you have uploaded your files. Once we know your upload is complete, we'll download them onto our system to use. If you run into any problems or have any questions about this process please feel free to contact us at (800) 423-2049 and we'll try to walk you through it. Tip: if you have the ability to ZIP files into a ZIP archive, that would accomplish two things: 1) it would reduce the file size of your file(s), thus speeding up the file transfer process; and 2) by zippping up your files (WinZip is a shareware program that can convert your files to ZIP files) the ZIP archive actually protects your files from getting corrupted when being sent over the internet. We recommend that you archive your files(s) into one ZIP file if that is something you can do. Click the link below to open up the FTP window to drag your files onto: |
